British Olympic Swimmer and British Record Holder

A restful weekend

Adam spent the weekend putting his feet up in rural Bedfordshire whilst his former team-mates at Auburn were making headlines in the States. The Tigers claimed their sixteenth  consecutive Southeastern Conference Swimming and Diving title at the University of Tennessee’s Allen Jones Aquatic Center in Knoxville. As a former dominant SEC sprint champion Adam stayed up to watch Auburn edge out Florida 730.5 to 700 with Georgia third on 521. In the final session Auburn took 1st, 3rd and equal 5th in the 100 free with Brit James Disney-May claiming the latter position.

Meanwhile another Brit – Richard Charlesworth – returns to Hatfield on Friday from USC [University of Southern California] to challenge for a place on the 2012 team. Like Adam, Charlie swam for Great Britain in 2008 but on the opposite end of the spectrum, the 1500m freestyle.
